KRONSTADT JAZZ FESTIVAL – Romania
Another year has gone by and I am given, one more time, the privilege to invite, in the name of the organizers, the jazz fans of Brasov and not only, to take part in a new international jazz celebration, here, at the Tampa´s feet.
KRONSTADT JAZZ FESTIVAL IS GOING ON! What we started, last year, would continue with a new edition, at least as attractive as the previous one and definitely, a bigger one!
This year too, the organizers of the event, Brasov County Council and Brasov Regional Centre for the Promotion and Preservation of Traditional Culture, receive the help of private partners, such as: Brasov Days and Nights Magazine and Firestarter-Zacusca Labs. The festival is also supported by institutions like The Polish Institute in Bucarest and the Austrian Cultural Forum. The cultural associations Viva la Musica and AS CULT Brasov, as well as a bunch of sponsors, had a further contribution too.
Just like during the previous edition, the festival will contain three performances, each of them being structured as follows: the first evening is dedicated to the bassists, the second to the wind instrumentalists, and the last one to the Romanian Jazz Diaspora. As a shockingly new element, the Kronstadt Jazz Festival will be enriched with a further event, KRONSTADT JAZZ RALLY. This one will surely bring jazz music and blues closer to the public, taking place in three other places in town, locatedoin the rally way: the Republicii street and Ceasu´Rau and Olimpia Terraces.
The events will bring to the stages a number of 43 artists, coming from 11 countries, European in their majority, reunited in 12 bands.
I hereby thank the organizational team, all the parteners and sponsors who have been supporting me in having these special events here, in Brasov.
I am therefore inviting and waiting for you to embrace the world of jazz at REDUTA, starting from September, Friday the 5th until Sunday the 7th 2008.
